Downloading Instructions
Thank you for your interest in the Aglets Software Development
Kit. You may be interested in reading the release
notes before you proceed with the installation. Otherwise,
choose one of the platforms and follow the steps below to download
and install the software.
Note: ASDK is written 100% in Java and platform independent.
So, the unpacked contents from the following packages Aglets1_1*.*
are identical. (These packages include programs for installation
and setting environment that depend on their platform.)
Packages below are for Aglets1.1 Beta.
ASDK Self Extracted Package
Step 1: Download Aglets Software Development Kit
Download Aglets Software Development Kit by
clicking the link in this table.
Before proceeding to the next step, make sure that you have
downloaded the complete and uncorrupted archive file by comparing
its current size.

Step 2: Unpack and Install ASDK
First of all, set your environment for JDK1.1.*. (See the
description about the installation in the download package
for more details.) Then download the Java class file and execute
it.
- Aglets1_1b3.class:
Issue the command "java Aglets1_1b3".

ASDK Package for PC Manual Installation
Step 1: Download Aglets Software Development Kit
Download Aglets Software Development Kit by
clicking the link in this table. Before
proceeding to the next step, make sure that you have downloaded

Step 2: Unpack and Install ASDK
Unpack the archive file that you have downloaded. We recommend
you to unpack it into your root (home) directory. Unpacking
the archive will create an ASDK parent directory
and all of the necessary sub-directories for this release.
- Aglets*.zip:
On the most PC platforms, use one of the popular unzip utilities
for unpacking a zipped file.
Step 3: Manual Setup Environment for Aglets Software Development
Kit
This download package includes information for setting up
your environment for aglets and the links to Java downloading
package. Please follow the description to set the environment
variables.

installation. Create and move to the target directory and
then issue
"gzip -dc <archive filename> | tar xf -"

to unpack an archive file with the extension ".tar.gz".
